Ten members of the same family were killed in a tragic road accident on Sunday December 14, 2025 at night along the Kisii‑Kisumu Highway in Homa Bay County.
The crash happened near Chabera Trading Centre on the Sondu‑Oyugis Road when a passenger matatu collided head‑on with a lorry as the family was returning from a wedding in Kakamega.
