In a shocking turn of events, three brothers are now in police custody following the tragic death of their sibling in Rachuonyo, Homa Bay County.
The grim discovery was made on Saturday June 7, 2025 in the morning when Ochieng’s lifeless body was found near their home in Adiedo village, bearing visible injuries.
Police have launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking incident.
Following the confirmation of Ochieng’s death, a team of detectives examined the scene where his body was discovered.
His body was moved to Kendu Bay Sub-county Hospital.
However, police concluded that the location was unlikely the primary site of the murder, noting the absence of bloodstains.

From the grim discovery, a thorough search of the deceased’s home revealed crucial evidence, including blood-stained weapons.
Additionally the investigators also found bloodstains in the kitchen, suggesting an attempt to clean up the scene.
The discovery of discarded evidence in a nearby maize plantation raised suspicions of foul play, contradicting initial reports and pointing towards a potential crime within the family’s residence.
Meanwhile, the three brothers are being held for questioning, with Ochieng’s body now at the mortuary awaiting a postmortem.
