Bahati, the self-proclaimed ‘mtoto wa mama’, is at it again. In a recent Instagram post, the singer has stirred conversations online after vowing to delete his new song ‘Seti’ from YouTube if the post promoting it hits 5000 comments.
The music video, which marks his return to secular music and features explicit scenes, has been trending at number one in Kenya despite (or perhaps because of) the controversy it had, hit over a million views within 24 hours after its release.
The song has received backlash with dislikes and negative comments from fans and critics on all social media platforms. Moreover, his wife, Diana, expressed her discontent, telling Bahati that the video undermines family values in a recent video with him.
The artist has been involved in a lot of drama lately, from posting the video to the screenshots he shared of Shalkido’s after his death.
Online users are debating whether the star is serious or if this is yet another one of his publicity stunts.
Under Bahati’s post, @zappykenya floods the comment section ten times over, with the same plea, “Delete! Delete!” Afew scrolls down, sarcasm takes over, “Walai hiyo dooo ulitumia kwa iyo ngoma ungenilipia rent ya 2500 tuuuu nisaidike.” max_sue_son added.
