Six people were killed on the spot and 43 others injured following a grisly road accident involving a PSV bus and a lorry ferrying coal at the Tunnel Flyover on the Londiani–Muhoroni Highway.

Kericho Police Commander James Ngetich confirmed the incident, saying the crash occurred at around 5:40 a.m on Tuesday, January 6. The Uwezo Company bus, which was traveling from Nairobi to Busia, reportedly rammed into the lorry that was heading in the same direction.

The injured were rushed to Fort Tenan and Londiani Sub-County hospitals for treatment. Investigations are underway to establish the cause of the accident.
