65-year-old man sentenced to life imprisonment for defiling a 13-year-old girl and infecting her with HIV in Bungoma

A 65-year-old man from Kapkateny, Mt. Elgon constituency, Bungoma County, has been sentenced to life imprisonment after being found guilty of defiling a 13-year-old girl and infecting her with HIV.

‎Sirisia Court Magistrate Raymond Langat, while delivering the verdict on July 29, 2025, stated that the court reached this decision after Onanda Naibei was found guilty of violating the rights of the child.
