AAR Hospital situated along Kiambu Rd has been at the center of a scandal surrounding the passing of gospel artist Betty Bayo.The hospital’s management has released an official clarification statement addressing reports circulating on social media concerning their allegded involvement in the death Betty Bayo, who sought treatment at their facility earlier this month.
In the statement issued today 13th November. the management of AAR Hospital began by expressing regret over the passing of Betty and extended their condolences to her family, friends, and fans during this difficult time.
Addressing what they describe as inaccurate and misleading claims circulating on social media, AAR stated the deceased was admitted to their facility for two days, during which she received emergency and critical care.
Her diagnosis was confirmed during this period, and following initial stabilization and medical assessment, the patient and her family made the decision to transfer her to another medical facility for further specialized treatment.
“AAR wishes to clarify that the deceased was admitted to our facility for two days, during which she received emergency and critical care and her diagnosis was confirmed,” read part of the statement.
The hospital acknowledged being aware of various claims circulating on social media regarding the case and expressed appreciation for the public’s concern. However, they emphasized that many of the reports being shared are inaccurate and misleading, though they did not specify which particular claims they were refuting.
Citing respect for patient confidentiality and adherence to medical ethics, AAR Hospital stated they are unable to share personal or clinical details about the case. This limitation prevents the hospital from providing more specific information that might further clarify the circumstances.
“Out of respect for the patient’s confidentiality and in line with medical ethics, we are unable to share personal or clinical details,” the hospital stated.
Betty Bayo lost the battle to acute myeloid leukemia on Monday 10 November, 2025.
