Advocate Kinyanjui warns ODM against underestimating #MimiNdioSifuna wave

The Edwin Sifuna wave shows no signs of slowing down, and whatever ODM decides on March 27, 2026, Advocate of the High Court Harrison Kinyanjui says it will not matter as Edwin Sifuna is already beyond their control, and the people have made up their minds.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has scheduled a National Delegates Convention (NDC) on March 27, 2026, in Nairobi to define its political direction ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

Speaking on TV47 Morning Café Show on February 25, 2026, Kinyanjui made it clear that the growing #MimiNdioSifuna sentiment sweeping across the country is bigger than any internal ODM power play.

“When Kenyans chant #MimiNdioSifuna, they are acknowledging what he stands for, not necessarily the ODM faction he represents. Even if they strip him of his SG position, ODM will only be digging their own grave deeper,” he said.

Kinyanjui took direct aim at those celebrating the prospect of Sifuna being ousted at the March 27th ODM elections, dismissing such optimism as misguided.

“That’s leaving a false paradise,” he said, arguing that removing Sifuna from his position would do nothing to silence the movement that has grown organically around him.

He also turned his attention to the broader fallout between ODM and the UDA camp, reminding listeners that Sifuna had been vocal long before the political landscape shifted.

According to Kinyanjui, the original 10-point agreement that anchored ODM’s cooperation was quietly buried and replaced with a reelection agenda, a move that has not gone unnoticed by Kenyans on the ground.

“The people are saying, let us see the 10-point agenda being met before we even discuss reelection,” he stated.

For Kinyanjui, the writing is on the wall. From Kitengela to Kajiado to Turkana, ordinary Kenyans are aligning themselves with what Sifuna represents, and no internal party maneuver is going to change that.

“This will mutate more and more into a faction of ODM that is unstoppable,” he warned.
