The world mourns the loss of Jumbo Craig, Amboseli National Park’s legendary super tusker, who passed away peacefully at 54.

Born in January 1972 to Cassandra of the CB family, Craig was one of Africa’s last remaining super tuskers, bull elephants with tusks over 45 kg (100 lbs) each.

In 2021, Craig was proudly adopted by East African Breweries Limited (EABL) through the Tusker brand, reflecting his worldwide appeal.

Beloved for his calm, dignified presence and towering tusks, Craig fathered numerous calves, ensuring his lineage and gentle nature lives on.

Visitors and wildlife enthusiasts around the globe admired him as an ambassador of Amboseli and a symbol of successful elephant conservation.
