Lang’ata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwuor, commonly known as Jalang’o has said Embakasi East MP Babu Owino shall win the Nairobi governor race in the 2027 General Elections.

According to Jalang’o, the Embakasi East MP has high chances of becoming the next Nairobi governor,  with or without the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party ticket.

The Lang’ata Legislator added that Babu Owino has a track record of initiating development and has capacity to transform Kenya’s capital city for the benefit of all residents.

At the same time, Jalang’o opened up on his own Nairobi gubernatorial ambitions, stating that he will take over the seat from Babu Owino in the 2032 elections.

“Babu Owino akipewa hiyo ticket ya ODM…nakuambia leo hii, Babu atakuwa Governor. Na ata asipopewa, anaenda kusumbua sana…mimi nakutayarisha katika uongozi wa His Excellency Babu Owino, Governor Nairobi,” Jalang’o said during an interview with radio personality Alex Mwakideu.

“Na unajua anapiga one term ananiwachia kama amepanda juu nimeshikilia Nairobi. Akipanda juu sasa ni rais, kwa sababu 2032 inaenda kupata kiwanja sasa iko free,” he added.
