Singer Bensoul has opened up about the quiet choice he believes has saved his love life: keeping it private and stronger than ever before.
Speaking in a YouTube interview on Wednesday, December 24, the award-winning artist revealed that he has been in a serious relationship for three years—one that has thrived precisely because it has stayed away from social media.
“I am in a serious relationship,” Bensoul shared, explaining that privacy has shielded his love from unnecessary pressure and public scrutiny.

The singer said being intentional and cautious about love has helped him stay grounded.
“Mimi mwenyewe najiwekea warning. Ukipenda mtu pia unajiwekea warning. Iko fiti,” he said, noting that emotional awareness has played a big role in maintaining balance and stability.
According to Bensoul, stepping back from posting personal moments online has changed how he experiences both life and love.
By choosing not to share his relationship publicly, he says he no longer feels the need to explain himself to anyone.

“Uzuri saa hizi ni vile niliwacha kuipost sana so watu wengi wanadhani ahh… lakini ni vizuri hivyo. I don’t have anybody to answer to,” he said.
Asked why the relationship has lasted this long, Bensoul was clear: “I feel like keeping it away from the public because it is not for them.”
He added that his partner’s current lifestyle also makes staying offline easier, as it doesn’t require a social media presence. This, he says, has brought peace and allowed their relationship to grow naturally.

While acknowledging that some couples enjoy sharing their love online, Bensoul insists that everyone should do what works for them.
“Wenye wanataka kupostiana wacha wapost,” he said, adding that for him, silence has brought clarity, peace, and emotional safety.
Previously linked to Noni Gathoni and later Cindy K, Bensoul says his current relationship remains strong. By keeping his love life private, he believes he has finally put breakup rumors to rest—proving that sometimes, the strongest relationships are the ones we don’t see online.
