Held in downtown Nairobi, the offline event gathered over 110 participants, including young learners, crypto-curious newcomers, local influencers, and community members.
As blockchain and digital finance become essential tools for financial empowerment, Bitget’s education-focused event aimed to bridge the knowledge gap for Kenya’s youth. Through live sessions led by Mathendu, a seasoned blockchain educator, attendees explored the foundations of blockchain technology, the principles behind cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, and the importance of crypto wallets, including the differences between custodial and non-custodial options.
The event was attended by local KOLs, Bitget affiliate, and existing users from the Nairobi crypto community. Their participation highlighted growing local interest and enthusiasm for digital finance education in East Africa.
