Buruburu 58 Travellers Sacco has come out to address a video circulating widely on social media showing an altercation involving one of its vehicles, a driver, and a woman, which occurred on March 11, 2026.

In a statement, the Sacco sought to set the record straight, clarifying that the woman and her child never boarded the vehicle in question and that no fare change was owed to her.

“The said lady and her child never boarded the said motor vehicle as alleged and as such, no fare change was owed to her,” read part of the statement.

The Sacco further revealed that the woman and the driver are personally acquainted and are said to share a daughter together, a child who was visibly captured in the viral video dressed in school uniform.

“The lady and the driver are well known to each other and are said to have a daughter together,” the management stated.

Unfortunately the disagreement spiraled out of control and resulted in damage to the motor vehicle.

“The disagreement between the two arose from a domestic dispute, which unfortunately escalated resulting in malicious damage to the motor vehicle,” Buruburu 58 Travellers Sacco Management stated.

The matter has since been reported at Central Police Station, and the Sacco confirmed it is fully cooperating with authorities as investigations into the incident continue.

Buruburu 58 Travellers Sacco expressed deep regret over the distress caused by the incident, extending its sympathies to all parties involved and calling for a peaceful resolution between them.
