The long-running rivalry between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj has erupted once again, this time over Cardi’s new album Am I the Drama? and personal jabs that have spilled across social media.
Nicki, 42, appeared to mock Cardi’s Billboard No. 1 single Magnet, sarcastically questioning its success and labeling the rapper “Barney Dangerous.”
She also mocked the $4.99 iTunes pricing of Cardi’s album, suggesting desperation, and in a now-viral tweet, taunted her over her pregnancy: “Raw doggin pregnant wit da 4th babeeee… Barney B. BV. HPVeeeeee, allegedlyyyyyyyyyyyy.”
Cardi, 32, wasted no time firing back with a flurry of tweets, turning the insults back on her rival.
She accused Nicki of secretly streaming her music, writing: “Damn she was streaming Magnet hard as hell huh?? The power I have… make these bitches come out of rehab everytime.”
In another fiery clapback, Cardi told Nicki to measure herself against her own peers:
“You been in the game like 16 years.. you need to compare yourself to YOUR peers that started around YOUR time. Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Drake… those are the numbers you need to be competing wit and you can’t cuz you doing lower than all of them. I was in high school when you came out wtf is you comparing yourself to me for??”
The exchanges have reignited tensions that have lingered since their infamous altercation at New York Fashion Week in 2018.
While both women remain among the most successful female rappers of their generation, the latest spat underscores how deeply personal, and public, their feud has become.
With Am I the Drama? topping charts and Nicki gearing up for her own upcoming projects, fans are bracing for what could be the fiercest round yet in hip-hop’s most talked-about rivalry.
