Chelsea fans reminded Arsenal that they have never won a Champions League trophy

The fans carried inflatable trophies at the Emirates to remind the hosts that Chelsea remains the only club in London to have won the trophy.

After Chelsea’s embarrassing performance in the English Premier League, where they went down to a 5-0 defeat against Arsenal, the Blues have been subjected to various forms of trolling, particularly from Arsenal fans.

However, Chelsea fans have refused to go down without a fight, swiftly reminding Arsenal of their Champions League status. They emphasized that despite their struggles in the English Premier League this season, Arsenal has yet to secure a single UEFA Champions League trophy for their cabinet.

During a recent match at the Emirates, Chelsea supporters brandished inflatable trophies, serving as a stark reminder to the hosts that Chelsea remains the sole London club to have clinched the prestigious trophy.

Chelsea’s inaugural UEFA Champions League victory occurred in 2012, marking a historic moment as the first London club to achieve such a feat. Before this, Chelsea’s first major trophy was secured in 1955, when they clinched the 1954–55 First Division title, establishing their prominence as national champions.

Tuesday night’s dismal performance marked another low for Chelsea, adding to Mauricio Pochettino’s woes following their elimination from the FA Cup by Manchester City.

An early goal from Leandro Trossard, coupled with braces from Kai Havertz and Ben White, further extended the Gunners’ lead in the Premier League.

This victory marked Arsenal’s second win in four days, propelling Mikel Arteta’s side three points clear of second-placed Liverpool and four ahead of Manchester City—although Pep Guardiola’s men have played two fewer games.

However, Arsenal’s quest for a Champions League title came to an end after they were eliminated by Bayern Munich, alongside their English counterparts Manchester City.

This outcome means that English teams will have to wait for their chance to contend for the European title again next season.
