Police are investigating the sudden death of a Chinese worker who was found unresponsive in a toilet at the Talanta Stadium premises in Jamhuri, Nairobi.
The incident was reported by security officers stationed at the stadium, which is under construction.
Preliminary information indicates that, that morning, a chef attached to the Chinese management at the facility discovered an adult Chinese male unresponsive inside a toilet.
Security officers together with other Chinese nationals rushed to the scene and confirmed the situation before taking the man to a Nairobi Hospital.
However, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Police later visited the scene where he was found, as part of the ongoing investigations.
The cause of death is still unclear although police noted a slight injury on the right side of the head.
Meanwhile, his body was moved to Lee Funeral Home for a postmortem examination.
According to the Nairobi police boss Issa Mohamud, there are two possibilities surrounding the death of the Chinese national, either murder or sudden death.
