Stakeholders, including community members and tourism sector workers in Mambrui, Magarini, Kilifi County, have come together to clean up the beach in an effort to conserve the environment and attract tourists.
Approximately 300 stakeholders participated in the clean-up exercise, collecting plastic waste and other debris and disposing them off properly.

They emphasized the importance of environmental conservation, not just for the cleanliness of the beach but also for the preservation of marine life affected by plastic waste.

The stakeholders urged investors in the region to join hands in conserving the beaches, while some youth involved in beach cleaning and conservation called on the government, through the Ministry of Tourism, to recognize their efforts and invest more in tourism development in the region.
Julius Mweni, an environmental activist and restaurateur in Mambrui, expressed hope that investors would collaborate with the community to maintain a clean beach and develop plans to attract tourists to the area.
