A family in Ndakaini village, Gatanga, Murang’a County, is mourning the sudden death of Sammy Jonnes Ndichu and his wife, Nina Wambui Ndichu, who tragically passed away in a road accident on December 12, 2025, along the Maai Mahiu–Naivasha route.
The couple’s passing was confirmed by The Architects Alliance, who shared, “It is with deep sorrow that we inform the Architectural & Quantity Surveying fraternity of the demise of Arch.
Sammy Jonnes Ndichu Mwangi and his loving wife Nina Ann Wambui through a road accident.”
Born on April 23, Sammy in 1993 and Nina in 1995, the couple shared not only their birthdays but also the tragic day of their passing.
They were laid to rest on December 19 at their family home in Ndakaini after a memorial service held at PCEA Mt. Olives in Njathaini, Kiambu County.
Friends and colleagues have taken to social media to mourn the couple, with one expressing, “And their wedding anniversary was on December 12, and they were both first-borns. True soulmates. So sad.”
