Justice Hellen Wasilwa of the Employment and Labour Court has issued orders barring Kiambu Court from replacing striking doctors in  Kiambu County pending hearing and determination of a case.

“The application is certified urgent and allowed in terms of prayers B and C of the notice of motion. This application should be served upon the Respondents and be heard inter partes on the 28th October 2025,” reads the court order.

In the application, the applicants moved to court arguing that by a public advertisement, the County Government of Kiambu invited interested applicants for various positions under the department of health.

The deadline of the said application was 15th of this month.

“The petitioner had been adversely affected and aggrieved due to the respondents’ impinged actions ,” reads court papers.
