A suspect in an extensive online cryptocurrency fraud scheme is set to appear in court following his capture by Kilifi North detectives in the Kiamunyi area of Nakuru County.

Bavon Onyancha Masese, who allegedly operated under multiple aliases including Abdirahaman Abdikarim and Jamie Damon, was arrested after investigators determined he had allegedly defrauded a Kilifi woman of Kshs. 3.9 million.

The discovery prompted an intensive search operation that culminated in his apprehension.

According to investigative findings, the suspect is connected to numerous digital transactions and illegal cryptocurrency schemes targeting victims throughout Kenya, resulting in his prosecution at Kilifi Law Courts.

The accused faces multiple charges stemming from his alleged activities, including money laundering, illegal SIM card registration, obtaining funds through deception, and conspiracy to commit fraud.
