A man from Mwingi has led detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to the spot where he allegedly buried his father after killing him more than two years ago.
According to police reports, the suspect, Musee Ngui, is accused of murdering his father, Ngui Ngunza, and secretly burying him on their family land in Nguuni village, Mwingi West, Kitui County.
At the time, Musee is said to have told relatives that his father had traveled.
“This is my brother’s home, who disappeared in 2023 and we were told he had travelled. At that time they were living peacefully, we can’t really know what led the son to kill his father,” said Francis Mbunza.
The suspect later fled after being accused of defiling and impregnating his two daughters.
He was arrested two weeks ago in Matuu, Machakos County. Upon interrogation, he led homicide detectives to the shallow grave behind their homestead, where the body was exhumed under tight security.
Relatives of the deceased expressed relief that the mystery surrounding their kin’s disappearance had finally been solved.
They urged authorities to take the necessary legal action against the suspect.
