The Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, has officially announced its full slate of candidates for the upcoming 22 by-elections, expressing strong confidence in their ability to secure victory.
Speaking from the party headquarters, Deputy Leader Cleophas Malala confirmed that all positions have been filled and that the candidates are already actively engaging with voters on the ground.
Malala assured supporters that the nomination process was transparent and fair, particularly in areas with multiple aspirants, and urged constituents to wholeheartedly back the DCP candidates.
Earlier in the day, Malala and Secretary General Hezron Obaga held a strategic meeting with the aspirants to lay out the party’s campaign blueprint for the elections.
Gachagua unveiled his DCP party March this year, expecting to position himself politically especially in the Mt. Kenya region towards the 2027 elections.
The announcement signals the DCP’s readiness to contest the seats and its determination to make a significant impact in the political landscape.
