DIB Bank Kenya expands network with new Mombasa branch

MOMBASA, KENYA-DIB Bank Kenya (DIBBK), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dubai Islamic Bank PJSC-the largest Islamic bank in the UAE, has officially opened a new branch in Nyali, Mombasa, the bank’s eighth branch in the country.

The new location, which increases its Mombasa footprint to three, is DIBBK’s latest addition in one week, following successful launch of its South C branch in Nairobi, in line with strategic growth to facilitate businesses and meet the growing need of Shariah compliant financial solutions.

The opening of the Nyali location, which is in direct response to calls from customers for convenience in the bank’s products and services, becomes an additional branch alongside Moi Avenue and Bondeni branches strengthening DIBBK’s presence in Mombasa.

“We are excited about our move to Nyali. As a high traffic area, we are poised to serve our existing and potential clients better as well as strengthen our market presence” said Ms Mary Kanuku, Ag. CEO/Managing Director DIB Bank Kenya.

The Chief guest, Mr. Mohamed Osman Ali County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Tourism, Culture, and Trade Mombasa County Mombasa County, welcomed DIB Bank Kenya’s increasing presence in the coastal city: “County 001 continues to facilitate favorable investment opportunities. I congratulate you for this milestone achievement.”

Dr. Mbwarali Kame PhD CECM Education and VTC Mombasa County also attended the launch amongst other guests.

Currently, DIB Bank Kenya, which successful entered the Kenyan market in 2017 now has eight strategic locations across Nairobi and Mombasa cities.
