Deputy Inspector General of Police Eliud Lagat has officially opened the new Lemok Police Post along the Uasin Gishu–Nandi border.
Lagat had also directed the Nandi North OCPD Mr Muli SSP to operationalize the new police station immediately.
Monday December 12, 2025 marks day one of operations, aimed at addressing crimes along the busy inter-county highway.

The post will enhance security through faster response to incidents, wider patrols, and better coordination between the two counties.
It will also help curb increasing cases of second-generation brews and bhang through stronger surveillance and enforcement.
DIG Lagat applauded Tanykina Dairies for donating the facility, and further commended the chiefs, local administration, and the entire community for their bold support and cooperation.
Meanwhile, residents expressed great happiness, noting that the police post will improve safety, strengthen confidence in security agencies, and create a safer environment for local businesses.
