DP Kindiki tells off opposition leaders for inciting Kenyans

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has taken a swipe at opposition leaders, accusing them of inciting Kenyans instead of offering meaningful alternatives to the country’s socio-economic challenges.

Speaking during an empowerment event held at Ndumberi Primary School in Kiambu County on Sunday, Kindiki emphasized the need for national unity and peaceful dialogue.

He criticized opposition figures for engaging in what he termed as early political campaigns and rhetoric that could incite unrest.

The deputy president reaffirmed the government’s commitment to delivering on its development agenda and improving service delivery.

He urged politicians to refrain from premature campaigns and instead focus on working for their constituents.

Accompanying Kindiki were a host of Kenya Kwanza leaders who echoed his sentiments, expressing confidence in President William Ruto’s leadership and prospects for the 2027 general elections.

Over Ksh 8 million were donated by various politicians and government officers in an empowerment program that seeks to better the livelihoods of locals and boost grassroots development.

The remarks by politicians come amid rising political tensions as opposition leaders continue to criticize the government’s handling of the economy and governance.

However, Kindiki maintained that the government remains focused on its promises and will not be distracted by political noise.
