Police officers in Ahero, Kisumu County, have intercepted a motorcycle carrying narcotic drugs.

The officers were on patrol within Ahero Town when they spotted a suspicious motorcyle rider carrying huge sacks.

They flagged the rider but he defied orders and instead sped off towards Kamindubi area.

“The officers recovered four green sacks containing a substance suspected to be cannabis sativa. Both the motorcycle and the evidence were secured at Ahero Police Station,” a police report reads in part.

An investigation is currently ongoing to identify and apprehend the suspect for arraignment.
