Popular Mombasa based Kenyan artist Echo 254 has moved netizens with a deep revelation of his painful encounter in life.

In a candid conversation with Maskani 47’s Billy Miya and Mbaruk Mwalimu on Hii Si Ya Kusahau segment, the artist detailed his journey of his unfortunate encounter with his dad who abandoned him when he was still a kid.

He notes the estranged father who lives in Mombasa never took the bold step of reaching out to him even as he continued to grow.

He therefore took the initiative to hunt for him and experience the warmth of the man who sired him.

Unfortunately, according to Echo, when he visited his dad’s house, he was shocked to learn he knew him all along but made no deliberate effort to see him.

Additionally, the man seemed to have no intention of having a close relationship with him even in the future.

Heartbroken, he woke up and left the house and has never went back to look for or even see him.

“Nimelelewa na mama pekee yake na babangu ni mtu wa hapa hapa Mombasani. Nikikua niliambiwa story kwamba nilikataliwa na baba. Nilipoambiwa yuko hapa hapa Mombasani, nilidhani hanifahamu nikaenda kumtafuta mwenyewe ila kilichonishangaza ni, nilipomuuliza kama ananijua akasema ndio nilivunjika moyo nikakaa kwa muda mfupi nikaondoka lakini hajawahi nitafuta…..Nilivunjika moyo sana,” Echo partl;y narrated.

Despite the sad reality that dawned on him, Echo says he has forgiven ‘the old’ man asserting that he will be a good father to his children and will never let his children go through what he went through.

“Nimemsamehe kwa sababu hata iweje, yeye ndiye babangu. Nilijifunza kuwa katika hizi issue za mahusiano, kuna vitu havitokei kwa bahati mbaya, tunafanya kisha baadaye ndiyo tunakataaa watoto. Nikipata mtoto lazima nimhudumie nihakikishe haishi maisha ambayo mimi nimepitia,” he added.

Echo 254 is a popular Kenyan artist known for hit songs such as Kaniwezea,I miss you and Watangoja.

He is among the celebrated artists from the Coast Region known for fire hits and great work ethic.
