Empty coffin found at door step of a house in Machakos

Residents of Kwa  Mwatu Village in Matuu ward, Yatta Sub County in Machakos County were shocked after a coffin of a minor was found at the door step of a house.

Speaking after burning the coffin in collaboration with the area chief Suzan King’oo together with the residents, Yatta Redeemed Gospel Church Bishop Bishop Moris Kikului said the  coffin could have been placed there by the hand of fake Pastors.

Bishop Kikului said some fake pastors have been coning people by creating such scenarios and later request for money in return for praying for the affected homes.

He called on the national government to re-look on regulating Churches in the country due to the increase in the number of fraudulent activities linked to some clergy.

The scene has shocked the family members, who urged for the Bishop to pray for them, as they condemned those responsible for the incident.

Confirming the incident, area chief Suzan King’oo said such incidents have increased in the area with increasing behavior of conmen masquerading as men of God.
