UB40 founding member Astro dies after a short illness

The reggae and pop band rose to fame in the early '80s topping charts in the UK with hits such as 'Red Red Wine' and 'Falling In Love With You'. The group have sold more than 70 million records.

Astro was member of the group until 2013 when alongside former members Ali Campbell and Mickey Virtue formed a breakaway group. They were set to go on tour in 2022.
