Popular MC brushes off trolls over his KSh300K-per-event fee: "It's called lanes"

Popular MC and radio presenter Muthee Kiengei (real name Benson Gathungu) has brushed off criticism by a section of his online fans that the KSh300,000 he charges for emceeing at weddings is too steep.
Kiengei who is the proprietor of an eponymous events-organising company says: "If you cannot afford someone's services you are at your freedom to work on your budget, kama unakunywaga chai Bluesprings na 100 shillings, the same goes at 500 shillings at Norfolk or Safari Park na haujawahi enda hapo Norfolk ku shout wako na pride ama maringo........."
Kiengei was piqued by questions from his some of his followers. One sarcastically posed whether after paying the KSh300,000 fee, "utatoa Bibi mapepo asinisumbue after harusi."
Kiengei, who is also a pastor, has the gift of garb. It's indisputable that he knows how to light up a crowd and has been staple in many a notable weddings thanks to his humour and mastery of Gikuyu language - and Bible verses.
He says he does not charge the KSh300,000 out of pride but for the value he brings. "When we set our standards for our value, that's not pride it's called lanes."
