Burial preparations for the late online comedian Zakaria Kariuki alias KK Mwenyewe are well underway and the date for his internment has been agreed on by his family.

Kafengo, a close friend of the late comedian KK Mwenyewe, has shared an update regarding the burial arrangements for the beloved entertainer.

KK Mwenyewe, who was widely known for his hilarious skits mimicking former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, passed away recently while receiving treatment at a Kiambu Hospital after a short illness .

According to Kafego, he has been actively involved with KK Mwenyewe’s family and the burial committee.

They’ve collectively set Wednesday, July 23, 2025, as the burial date. KK Mwenyewe will be laid to rest at his rural home in Lari, Githirioni Village, Kiambu County.

In a video shared on Facebook, Kafego confirmed his presence on the burial committee, working alongside the family and the church where KK was a member.

“So, yesterday we went to KK Mwenyewe’s village in Lari to plan the burial. We sat down with the committee, family, and church, and we came up with a date for the burial. He will be laid to rest on Wednesday, 23rd July 2025,” Kafengo stated.

Kafengo urged Kenyans to continue supporting the family of the late comedian, who gained significant fame for his impeccable impersonations.
