The Kenya Hospital Association has officially announced the appointment of Felix Osano as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nairobi Hospital, effective immediately. Osano succeeds James Nyamongo, who served in the role until December last year. The announcement was made by Kenya Hospital Association Chairman Barcley Onyambu, who expressed high confidence in Osano’s ability to drive the institution forward.
Chairman Onyambu highlighted Osano’s strategic vision, industry expertise, and commitment to operational excellence as key factors in the decision. “We are confident that Mr. Osano’s leadership will steer Nairobi Hospital into its next chapter of growth and innovation,” Onyambu stated.
Osano has been serving as Acting CEO since November 2024 and previously held the position of Director of Supply Chain at Nairobi Hospital. His professional background is impressive, with over 17 years of experience in global private equity investments in healthcare across Africa and Asia, as well as leadership roles in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and healthcare organizations.
In addition to his extensive industry experience, Osano is currently pursuing a doctorate in strategic management at the United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa). He also holds an MBA from the same institution, a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Daystar University, and an Executive Leadership Program certificate in Supply Chain Transformation from Strathmore University.
