The FKF Kwale Beach Soccer League is set to officially unveil its new title sponsor, Kentaste Products, in a launch event scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2025, at Kongo Beaches in Diani.
This partnership marks a significant milestone for the league, which has been renamed the Kentaste-FKF Kwale Beach Soccer League to reflect the collaboration.
The league features 16 men’s teams divided into two pools and 8 women’s teams competing weekly, with the season running through mid-August.
The sponsorship is expected to provide enhanced structure and consistency, benefiting players and the wider community.
FKF President Hussein Mohammed will attend the launch, emphasizing the broader impact of the partnership. “This partnership goes beyond sport – it’s about opportunity and the future of our youth,” he said. “We’re proud to have Kentaste on board, supporting our vision to grow football from the ground up.”
Hamisi Mwakoja, FKF Kwale Branch Chairman, highlighted the timing and significance of the sponsorship: “This sponsorship has come at the right time. It gives our league the structure and consistency it needs, and it’s a big boost for the players and the entire community.”
Kentaste Products, a local brand with deep roots in Kwale, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. Marketing Manager Terrie Nduhiu stated, “Kwale is home for us, and this partnership reflects what we stand for – health, community, and opportunity.
Football brings people together, keeps us active, and gives young people a chance to grow. Supporting this tournament is one way we give back.”
Matchday action will continue this weekend at Kongo Beaches with several men’s and women’s fixtures, including notable matches such as Lowkey vs Diani Stars and Barbados Queens vs Red Queens.
The new sponsorship is expected to elevate the profile of beach soccer in the Coast region and foster grassroots football development.
