FKF Women’s Cup round of 32 kicks off this w with exciting double-headers

The FKF Women’s Cup makes a highly anticipated return this weekend, with the Round of 32 fixtures set to kick off on Saturday, May 3, and Sunday, May 4, 2025.

Sixteen matches across various venues will mark the start of the fourth edition of the tournament, as teams from all corners of Kenya begin their quest for national silverware.

All eyes will be on defending champions Ulinzi Starlets, who open their campaign against TUK Ravens in Sunday’s early kickoff at Dandora Stadium. Ulinzi Starlets remain the only team to have lifted the trophy since the competition’s inception and are determined to maintain their dominance.

However, they will be closely monitoring their league rivals, Kenya Police Bullets, who currently top the FKF Women Premier League standings by three points with just two matchdays left. Both teams are expected to be strong contenders for the cup title once again.

Saturday’s action features a double-header at Thika Stadium, where Gaspo Women face Kibera Soccer Women at 1:00 pm, followed by Thika Starlets hosting Kenya Police Bullets at 3:15 pm.

These fixtures promise high-quality football, with top-flight teams eager to set the tone for the tournament.

Sunday’s schedule continues at Dandora Stadium with another double-header: Ulinzi Starlets vs. TUK Ravens at 1:00 pm, and Makolanders vs. Kayole Starlet at 3:15 pm. The Nairobi derbies are expected to draw significant fan interest and showcase emerging talent.

Other notable fixtures include Embu Queens vs. Desert Scorpions Women at Embu University Grounds, Marine Queens vs. Zetech Sparks in Mombasa, and Vihiga Queens traveling to Eldoret to face Gene Queens.

With the cup offering a platform for both established and emerging teams, this weekend’s fixtures are set to deliver excitement and drama as the road to the FKF Women’s Cup final begins.
