Flynas to begin direct flights between Riyadh and Nairobi this October

August 28 2025 | Nairobi, Kenya — flynas, the Middle East’s leading low-cost carrier, has announced the launch of three weekly direct flights between Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Nairobi, Kenya, beginning October 2, 2025, to further expand its network in the African market in alignment with national objectives in the tourism and aviation sectors and in line with Vision 2023.

The new route positions Nairobi as a strategic hub for travel between East Africa and the Middle East, strengthening connectivity for tourism, trade, and religious travel.

The service will provide Kenyan travellers with direct access to Saudi Arabia for leisure, business, and pilgrimage, while also opening Kenya to more visitors and investors from the Kingdom.

Waleed Alahmed, Director of Corporate Communications at flynas said, “By connecting Riyadh and Nairobi, we aim to make travel more convenient and affordable, support Kenya’s tourism sector, create new opportunities for businesses on both sides, and reinforcing flynas’ international network of destinations in Africa, within the growth and expansion plan, launched under the title “We Connect the World to the Kingdom.” Adding Kenya, the largest economy in East and Central Africa and a country of scenic landscapes and vast wildlife preserves, to flynas network is in parallel with the objectives of the National Civil Aviation Strategy to enable national air carriers to contribute to connecting KSA with 250 International destinations and to accommodate 330 million passengers and to host 150 million tourists yearly by 2030, and with the objectives of the Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP) to facilitate access to the Two Holy Mosques.

Kenya now joins flynas’ growing African network, which already includes Addis Ababa, Entebbe, and Djibouti. The expansion comes as Saudi Arabia deepens partnerships across Africa and supports regional growth through increased connectivity.

Tickets will be available through https://www.flynas.com/en, the flynas mobile app, the call centre (+966 920001234), or accredited travel agents. High-resolution images and logos are available on request.
