President William Ruto has appointed the former Labour Cabinet Secretary Florence Bore as the new Kenya’s ambassador to Windhoek, Namibia.
State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed posted on his X account on August 15, 2025, stating that the President has made new nominations and redeployment in Kenya’s Foreign service.
The need to realign the nation’s Foreign service is to optimize performance and enhance service delivery which was outlined in the Administration’s manifesto under the bottom up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
Hussein notified that the President has nominated and redeployed ambassador, High Commissioners and consul Generals.
The High Commissioners and Ambassadors included Galma Mukhe Boru to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Anthony Mwaniki Muchiri to Ankara, Turkey, Lucy Kiruthu to Bangkok, Thailand, Henry Wambuma to Bujumbura, Burundi and Catherine Kirumba Karemu to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
President Ruto submitted the applicable nominations for Foreign Service appointments to the national Assembly for consideration and approval in accordance with the constitution.
During the 2024 Gen Z protests the President made reshuffles on Cabinet Secretaries where Bore was among the CS who were eliminated.
