Police officers in Nairobi early Wednesday, June 4, 2025, confirmed the recovery of a plastic revolver, six rubber bullets, and a knife marked “AK47” following a night operation that led to the arrest of four suspects.

Acting on a crucial tip-off from the public, police intercepted the suspects who were riding in a suspicious vehicle along Kenyatta Avenue, apprehending them at a petrol station.

“The intervention followed a tip-off from members of the public, who had observed one of the individuals brandishing what appeared to be a firearm, arousing suspicion,” a NPS statement read in part.

All four suspects, who reportedly appeared intoxicated at the time of arrest, have been taken into police custody for further questioning.
