Gospel artists and couple Ninah and Meshack, popularly known as Wapendwa Muziki, have opened up about their emotional journey to parenthood after years of online trolling and personal struggles.
Speaking during an interview on TV47’s This Friday With Betty hosted by Betty Kyallo on Friday, February 6, the couple, Ninah in particular, recalled the hurtful comments she received from online critics who questioned her ability to conceive because of her body size.

“They said I was too skinny, that my body couldn’t carry a child,” Ninah said. “I went through the worst trolls. People questioned whether I would ever have a baby. Every comment felt like a test, but God’s promises kept me going.”
Despite the criticism, she remained hopeful and grounded in faith.
“Even when people insulted me, I told myself God’s word is final. I held onto hope and prayed. One day, I would hold our child, and nothing they said would matter,” she added.
Meshack, also known as Mesh, spoke about standing by his wife during the challenging period, noting that emotional support and prayer strengthened their relationship.
“Seeing her go through those comments was painful. But we reminded each other of our journey and stayed strong together. God really used her patience to elevate us,” he said.
The couple is now celebrating the arrival of their firstborn, welcomed on Monday, January 5, 2026, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.
Reflecting on the milestone, Ninah expressed gratitude and encouraged women facing similar challenges to remain hopeful.
“Holding our child in my arms was a reminder that God’s timing is perfect. It doesn’t matter what people say,” she said. “People can be cruel, but faith and determination triumph. Our child is a blessing, and that’s what matters most.”
