Nairobi Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement Geoffrey Mosiria, has sparked widespread debate online after sharing strong views on body modification and beauty standards, comments that have since drawn mixed reactions across social media.

Taking to his X account, Mosiria expressed frustration over what he termed as growing “impunity” and artificiality in society.

“Jameni, everything out here is fake these days! Even girls are fake, ukitaka original enda ushago,” he said

He went on to claim that men are increasingly misled by appearances, adding, “You get excited thinking you’ve hit the jackpot, only to later discover the ‘assets’ were sponsored by extra layers, pads, and creative engineering.”

In his post, Mosiria urged women to embrace their natural bodies, insisting that authenticity should be celebrated.

“At the end of the day, there will always be someone who loves, prefers, and appreciates you exactly the way you are without upgrades, modified installations or software updates,” he stated.

He concluded by saying, “Let’s embrace the natural bodies God gifted us. Original is always premium.”

Doubling down on his remarks, Mosiria advised women who feel insecure about their bodies to consider healthier alternatives instead of extreme measures.

“If you don’t have hips, just accept yourself as you are. Go to the gym, eat avocados, eat well, your body will be just fine,” he said.

He further warned against harmful practices, noting, “Badala ya kufinya tumbo, unajiumiza bure. Instead, tafuta help ya daktari basi.”

He emphasized that natural beauty does not limit one’s chances at love, adding, “Utapata tuu mwanaume atakupenda vile uko naturally.”

Mosiria is a senior official within the Nairobi County Government and has previously headed key dockets including Health Facilities and later the Environment department, often referred to as the “Green Nairobi” sector.

His remarks have triggered divided reactions, with some applauding his call for self-acceptance and others criticizing the tone of his comments.
