“Gossip will not be allowed, don’t use shortcut” – Governor Lusaka to county staff

Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has called on county staff to uphold integrity, unity and accountability as the administration shifts focus to accelerated service delivery and completion of stalled projects.

Speaking during morning prayers with county employees on Monday, January 5, the Ford Kenya governor urged officers to serve with faithfulness and a clear conscience, warning against shortcuts and unethical conduct in public service.

Further, Lusaka cautioned staff against signing documents they know to be wrong, emphasizing that integrity must remain the cornerstone of county operations.

“The year has started, let us follow the law and do what is right for the benefit of our people,” Lusaka added.

The Governor stressed that unity within the county workforce is non-negotiable, noting that a divided team undermines development.

He also declared that gossip and internal wrangles would not be tolerated, calling instead for teamwork, discipline and mutual respect.

Lusaka noted that there is need for clear timelines in project implementation, noting that the county has spent considerable time on planning and preparation.

He said the time had come to move decisively to the field, implement projects and clear existing backlogs to ensure tangible benefits reach residents.

“As a team, we have sharpened our tools long enough. It is now time to deliver,” Lusaka said, reiterating his administration’s commitment to results-driven leadership and improved service delivery across the county.
