Media personality Grace Msalame has revealed the personal cost of speaking openly about her faith, sharing that she has lost over 3,000 followers on Instagram this year for consistently sharing God’s word.
Speaking on Woman Without Limits on December 28, 2025, Grace Msalame reflected on a life lived in the spotlight — from mainstream media to social media influence and major brand partnerships. Yet, she says, God has shown her that her platform was never about fame, but about serving Him.
“What has jumped out for me is the media spotlight, social media attention, partnerships like Vivo, all of that,” Grace said. “But what God has shown me is that the platform He gave me from a very young age was meant to be for Him.”

Drawing inspiration from the biblical prophet Jeremiah, Grace explained that despite moments of doubt and exhaustion, she feels an unshakable calling to share her faith.
“Jeremiah said even when he was tired and people were not listening, and even when he decided he wouldn’t talk about God again, there was a fire in his bones and he couldn’t keep quiet. I believe that’s what God gave me this platform for,” she shared.
Grace admitted that at first, speaking about her faith publicly was challenging, especially given her past and the public’s familiarity with her personal life.

“Initially, I wondered, was all that a mistake? People have seen me in clubs, seen me have children out of wedlock, and now here I am talking about God,” she said.
But she added that her experiences have given her empathy, allowing her to connect with others from a place of understanding rather than judgment.
“Having experienced life, met all sorts of people, and done all sorts of things, when I share, I come from a place of understanding. When people tell me about their challenges — abortion, divorce — I understand. God comforts us so that we can also comfort others.”

Despite the loss of followers, Grace remains steadfast in her faith.
“I have lost over 3,000 followers, especially this year, the more I share about Him,” she said. “But nothing can replace Jesus in your life, and nothing should.”
Her message is a powerful reminder of the courage it takes to live authentically in faith, despite criticism, doubt, and public scrutiny.
