Tanzanian music star Harmonize issued a firm, public warning this Thursday, December 11, 2025, stating that he is prepared to take legal action against individuals who continue to associate his brand with his former label boss, Diamond Platnumz.

The Konde Music Worldwide founder shared his statement via an Instagram video, stressing that the era of him being defined by Diamond is over.

The warning was prompted by comments from social media personality Francis Majizzo, who claimed in a recent interview that Diamond was the “father” of Harmonize’s career.

Harmonize personally called Majizzo to caution him against the misleading remarks.

He stated the issue comes down to respect for his current status, “You can’t keep mentioning my name under somebody. You can’t keep mentioning my name under Diamond every day. Please.”

The award-winning artist acknowledged that Diamond gave him an entry point into the music industry years ago.

However, he insisted that the constant attempts to attach his name to WCB Wasafi are meant to diminish his significant achievements as an independent artist.

“I am a big fish right now. You can’t mention my name under him, and this message goes to everybody… Do not mention my name under him because he does not deserve it,” he stressed.

Harmonize highlighted the costly nature of his separation from the label, reinforcing why he refuses to be perpetually linked to his former mentor.

He pointed out that Diamond “ended up asking for his money at the end”.

Harmonize referenced the over Tsh600 million (KSh 30,912,000 million) he claims he paid in fines and fees to secure his exit from WCB.

The Bongo Flava star went further, alleging that Diamond was actively working to weaken Konde Gang, his own music label.

Harmonize claimed that several of his signees, including Angela and Ibraah, were approached with promises that were never fulfilled, which he believes played a role in destabilising Konde Gang.

Harmonize claimed Angela was lured with a promise of a collaboration with Diamond’s signee Zuchu, which never materialised.

He alleged that Diamond provided assistance to Ibraah, helping him hire lawyers during his exit negotiations from Konde Gang.

“Where is Angella? They took her, he took her, and showered her with fake promises and such… Sorry, I am mentioning her name,” the singer lamented.

Harmonize concluded that these ongoing battles and the financial strain are the core reasons he refuses to have his name repeatedly associated with Diamond Platnumz.
