Telenovela screen sensation William Levy, famously known in Kenya for iconic roles in ‘Don’t Mess with an Angel’ and ‘Triumph of Love’, was arrested earlier this week in Weston, Florida, sparking not just legal headlines but an outpouring of thirsty fan reactions online.
The Cuban-American actor was apprehended on April 14, 2025, and booked at Broward County Jail on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing on an occupied structure. According to police reports, Levy was causing a disturbance while allegedly intoxicated at Baires Grill in Weston. He reportedly ignored restaurant staff and law enforcement orders to leave the premises. Witnesses said he appeared disheveled during the arrest.
Florida law considers trespassing on an occupied structure a first-degree misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in jail. Initially held without bond, Levy was later released on April 15 after posting a $500 bond.
Speaking to CBS News and other outlets after his release, the 44-year-old explained that he had not been drunk and was simply trying to break up an argument. “They can see it in their cameras. I got in the middle to prevent it from escalating, and I’m the one who ended up in handcuffs,” Levy said. “I tried to stay calm the whole time.”
