Police have launched investigations after the theft of a four-wheel-drive car belonging to the Ministry of Health in Kilgoris, Narok county.
The driver of the vehicle was transporting assorted drugs for supply at the time of the theft which happened on Thursday.
According to the police report, the driver had parked it outside a club in Kilgoris Town and went for refreshments before he was joined by a stranger with whom he enjoyed brief moments.
It was then that the driver was drugged and taken to the car by the man who asked him to drop him at his residence within the town.
The driver lost consciousness before he found himself in Kipkebe Tea Plantation in Sotik, Bomet County, almost 200 kilometres away.
His car was missing together with his personal valuables when he was found the following day.
He was found tied with both hands and legs and taken to the local police station, where he made the report, police said.
The driver was later taken to the hospital for medical attention as police started investigating the matter.
Elsewhere in Naiberi, Eldoret, a gang raided a home and stole assorted jewellery worth Ksh100,000, a laptop and other valuables.
The incident happened as the family was in a mosque on November 8. Police said the gang of five people arrived at the home aboard a Toyota Prado.
A similar robbery incident happened in Nandi Hills Town, Nandi county, where a teacher was robbed of Sh280,000 moments after he had withdrawn the money from a bank.
The teacher told police that suspected thieves broke into his parked car and escaped with the money on November 7, 2025.
