Homa Bay County Governor Gladys Wanga has strongly condemned the recent attack on her Deputy Governor Joseph Oyugi Magwanga, calling on security agencies to act swiftly and impartially to investigate the incident and bring those responsible to justice.
In a statement released on Monday May 12, 2025, the governor expressed deep concern over the incident and appealed for calm among residents.
She also appealed to the people of Homa Bay to remain calm and united during these difficult times.
At the same time, County Commissioner Moses Lilan confirmed that the Deputy Governor’s security has been heightened in response to the attack.
He assured the public that investigations are underway and pledged a thorough probe to uncover the perpetrators.
Authorities have yet to release details about the nature of the attack, but tension remains high as leaders call for peace and cooperation during the investigation.
