How police officers delivered smiles and festive cheer to children’s home in Nairobi

The International Police Association (IPA) Kenya Section, in partnership with IPA Section Germany, yesterday brought its mantra, Service Through Friendship, to life by choosing to spend the final day of 2025 with the children at the Children’s Garden Home & School in Uthiru.

This visit marked the IPA’s second return to the home, standing as a powerful testament to the bonds of love and friendship first established last year. The better part of the day was spent in a warm and engaging atmosphere as the children shared their talents through song and dance.

Their beautiful voices and impressive dance skills showcased remarkable energy, confidence, and creativity, turning the day into a joyful celebration of talent.

The team also delivered essential food and clothing, generously provided by the members of the IPA Kenya Section, led by their President, Mr.Jared Ojuok, SSP, alongside Mr.Daniel Lorch of the IPA Germany Section.

Friends of the Association, including Dr. Marietta Reformado and the Cutchi Gujarati Hindu Union Shiv Temple (CGHU), also gave donations of clothes and diapers. Their presence and generous support contributed greatly to the success of the day, bringing joy to the children and further strengthening the spirit of solidarity.

Meanwhile, in another part of Nairobi, a separate team of IPA Kenya members extended the same spirit of service to the Cerebral Palsy Society of Kenya, where they donated diapers and clothes, ensuring that care and support reached even further into the community. By dedicating this special time to service, connection, and compassion.

The International Police Association Kenya Section closed the year not only through acts of giving but through the enduring power of friendship that lies at the heart of its mission. The IPA is a non-governmental organisation that unites serving and retired police officers—regardless of rank, gender, race, language, or religion—with the mission of fostering friendship, promoting international cooperation, and enhancing the public image of policing through social, cultural, and professional engagement.
