Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Julius Migos Ogamba on Friday, January 9 released the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Examinations results.
A total of 993,226 candidates sat for the national examination in 2025, and results announced from AIC Chebisaas Boys’ High School in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.
The Ministry of Education says that out of the 993,226 candidates who sat for the 2025 KCSE examinations, 501,214 (50.46%) were female while 492,012 were male.
There was an increase of 30,714 (3.91%) in the number of 2025 KCSE candidates compared to the 962,512 who sat for the exam in 2024.
The 2025 KCSE class is the third last class of the 8-4-4 system.
All the candidates can now check their results via the official KNEC portal; results.knec.ac.ke
The candidates are required to enter their index number and one of their name (s) as per the registration data for the 2025 KCSE examination.

Students can access their results by visiting the official KNEC portal results.knec.ac.ke
2: Input your details
After entering the Index Number, the candidate will be prompted to submit the information.
If the details provided are correct, the 2025 KCSE results will be displayed on the screen.
Official result slips will be accessible through examination centres where the candidates sat for their exams.
Unlike in previous years, candidates will not access their KCSE results through SMS code.
