Celebrated Tanzanian Bongo artist Rajabu Abdulkahali Ibrahim, famously known as Harmonize, has publicly declared an end to business as usual, stating emphatically that 2026 will mark a definitive shift towards uncompromising quality & standard in his music.
Through an Instagram story shared on Sunday, 14th December 2025, that has set social media ablaze, the Konde Music Worldwide boss kicked off his lengthy note with a powerful statement of creative fatigue.
“Msitegemee hits nyingi sana kutoka kwangu 2026, I’m more of quality & standard. I can’t keep doing the same shit every day!” Harmonize wrote.

Harmonize, known for his prolific output, suggested a move towards fewer yet more meticulously crafted projects, signaling a potential strategic pivot in 2026.
Harmonize used the platform not just to announce his own evolution but to issue a stark assessment of the current musical landscape. He acknowledged a rising “Gen-Z” wave of talent but critiqued the depth of their connection to cultural roots.
“Kwa kizazi hiki kinachoimba lugha ya mama, bado sana!!!” He added.
This comment is likely to fuel debate about the balance between modern trends and traditional linguistic mastery in contemporary Bongo Flava.
The artist also made two major release announcements. First, a Christmas Day gift to fans: “Dropping 6 Rounds 25/December,” presumably a series of new singles. Second, he confirmed the long-awaited “Pole” album is finally slated for release on December 31st.

However, he extended a challenge to his peers, stating they could drop projects on the same date if they matched “This level of singing” and included an English song.
He attached a potential tracklist featuring titles like “Beed Room,” “Outside,” “Zanzibar,” “Influencer,” and “Miss Bantu.”
The post concluded with Harmonize asserting his legacy and independence in uncompromising terms.
“Put some respect on my name, don’t put me under anyone hata kwa bahati mbaya, especially Swahili singers,” he declared.
