Kenyan lawyer Cecilia Milimu recounts a night in January 2023 when she spent the night with a demon. “I am in the middle of prayer and fasting and this thing comes and has sex with me the whole night,” she narrated.
“I wake up empty, sad, devastated, feeling filthy. I had that anguish inside, I could not even speak to God. When I went back to bed this dream began again. This time, right next to my bed were two men dressed in witchcraft regalia and they were doing enchantments.”
This confession elicited a lot of opinions among netizens with some expressing doubt in the logic behind her narration.
“This is a lie. Demons don’t exist,” the Atheists In Kenya Society commented.
“Wouldn’t be easier to say you had an epiphany that you were moving mad and realized you need a change before it goes all bad ? As Joseph Conrad once said “The belief in a super natural source of evil is not necessary. Men alone are quite capable of every wickedness.” Remarked an X user called iamjustalffie.
A section of netizens however agreed with her saying that this was possible. A netizen urged people to be mindful of dismissing other people’s testimonies.
“I see most people here are not aware of the spiritual issues each of us encounter daily, whether you know it or not. Please be sensitive to other people’s suffering and pray for spiritual protection in the name of Jesus Christ,” he said.
Ms Milimu is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya who specializes in employment law, she is also a content creator.
