“I never left Betty Bayo, she left me” Pastor Kanyari

Controversial preacher Victor Kanyari has spoken out emotionally following the death of his ex-wife, gospel singer Betty Bayo, who succumbed to blood cancer (leukemia) on November 10, 2025.

In a heartfelt video circulating online, Kanyari dismissed claims that he never loved Bayo, insisting that their bond was genuine despite the challenges they faced.

“Those saying Pastor Kanyari never loved Betty Bayo are wrong. I loved her, I loved her knowing she had a husband, so I respected the boundaries,” he said.

Kanyari revealed that it was Betty who ended their relationship, not him. “I never left Betty Bayo; she’s the one who woke up one morning and told me it was over. I respected her decision,” he said, adding that he continued to support and communicate with her even after their separation.

He shared that the two maintained a cordial relationship, often speaking on the phone for even up to 30 minutes.

“She could call me ‘Baba Sky,’ and we would laugh together. Even though she had moved on, I always respected her and kept my boundaries.” KanyariControversial preacher Victor Kanyari has spoken out emotionally following the death of his ex-wife, gospel singer Betty Bayo, who succumbed to blood cancer (leukemia) on November 10, 2025.
