YouTuber and comedian Steve Thompson Maghana, popularly known as Oga Obinna, has publicly shared a heartfelt yet firm rejection of an 18-year-old admirer, citing his preference for dating single mothers.

On Thursday night, December 25, 2025, Obinna took to Instagram to reveal screenshots of a private conversation with a young woman named Shaline, who had earlier made headlines carrying a placard in the streets of Kakamega, confessing her love for him and boldly promising to give him twins.

In her message to the media personality, Shaline introduced herself, attaching a photo of her with the placard.

“Hello, good evening, I’m Shaline. The one on that postcard,” she wrote.

Obinna responded with warmth and honesty, politely turning down her advances.

“Hi, saw the post. Much appreciated, but can’t work. You’re a child. I prefer single mothers around 24 years; 18 is too young,” he replied, adding fatherly advice. “Also, at 18, what are you doing thinking of children? Focus, Shaline. You’ll think of me in six years when you read this text again.”

Despite the rejection, Shaline expressed a desire to meet him in person.

“It’s okay, no problem. Though I really want to meet you and greet you, even if it’s public. I just want to say hi or maybe take a picture together,” she said.
